Lodano Bianco is Tua Rita's most complex white wine, a fragrant blend composed of equal parts Chardonnay, Riesling and Gewürztraminer. Thick scents of dried apricot, stone fruit and honey float from the bottle, accompanied by subtle mineral hints of seashell and wet rock. The grapes were grown on pebbly, clayish soils in the Alta Maremma region of Tuscany.

Tuscany is the home of Tua Rita, a family-owned and operated winery, founded in 1984 by a husband and wife duo, Rita and Virgil. Tua Rita’s vineyards are located near the western coast of Italy, tucked between the salty Tyrrhenian Sea and the Colline Metallifere, which roughly translates to “metal-rich hills”.

Lodano Bianco is a deep, refreshing wine, perfect for lovers of honeyed, aromatic whites. Pure, bell-like notes of orange peel, tropical fruit, lime zest and green apple skin come through on the palate. These are supported by hints of flowers and petroleum, the classic sign of high-quality Riesling. The finish is cleansing and driven by a rich vein of acidity, which makes it an excellent wine for pairing with food. Enjoy it slightly chilled, with seafood, creamy cheeses, or any dish containing a bit of spice.
