Terredora di Paolo is one of Southern Italy’s most celebrated estates and wineries. Established in 1978 in the hills of Irpinia of the Campania region, Terredora is dedicated to the culture and traditions of this historic area. The 180 hectares of vineyards enjoy rich, volcanic soil, southern-facing exposure and an ideal Mediterranean climate. Furthermore, the high altitude of the estate brings thermal fluctuations to the vineyard that help produce wines with intensity and character.

Modern technology in both the vineyard and cellar have allowed Terredora to move forward in today’s evolving wine industry with a strong philosophy to showcase “a precious fruit of nature worked by skillful hands”.

Taurasi is a red wine sub appellation in the Campania region. These still reds are made using the Aglianico grape variety known for producing rustic, full-bodied wines with notes of earthiness, leather and cured meats. Considered a star of Italy, Aglianico is sometimes called the “Barolo of the South”. The Terredora Taurasi Fatica Contadina offers a bold bouquet of wild berries, green tobacco, leather, and spicy pepper. On the palate is black plums, cedar, tar, and a hint of vanilla with robust tannins and a soft acidity to round it out. Enjoy with a variety of meats, pasta dishes, and mature cheese.
