Telmo Rodriguez is one of the most famous winemakers on the Spanish wine scene. In 1994, he and some colleagues/friends undertook a project to redevelop some vineyards around the country. Today he produces excellent quality wines in various regions of Spain, always receiving enthusiastic reviews.

The grapes come from a vineyard of approximately 9 hectares located in Competa, in the Malaga region, on steep slopes at altitudes between 350 and 1000 meters. Here the vines enjoy a slate soil that releases heat, helping the maturation of the Muscat of Alexandria. After a period of drying in the sun, the grapes are fermented in 225-liter wooden barrels. The finished wine matures for 20 months in barrique at low temperatures.

Molino Real by Telmo Rodriguez is an appetizing and fragrant dessert wine with a bright golden yellow color and a broad, intense aromatic profile. On the nose, it reveals aromas of candied citrus zest, mandarin, apricot and honeyed notes, white flowers, and sweet spices. On the palate, it is complex and elegant. Its sweetness is well balanced by a strong acidity and good minerality. The finish is delicately spicy and very persistent. It can be enjoyed alone, instead of dessert, or paired with fruit-based desserts, goat or blue cheeses.
