Te Mata Bullnose Syrah is a full-bodied red wine exclusively produced by the Te Mata Estate Wineries located in Hawke’s Bay Appellation in New Zealand. It ranks top 10 among the prestigious Te Mata wines produced. A clear vindication of its quality is the aggregate score of 92 accorded by wine critics. It is undoubtedly one of the best wines from New Zealand.

It is easy to see why this Syrah commands such a magnitude of respect on its palatability. Bursting with flavors of cherry, black currant, caramel, and pine nuts coupled with high acidity, this red wine has an exquisite mouthfeel. It exudes notes of blackberry, raspberry, oak, red pepper, lavender, and cocoa finishes that provide a light and airy structure as it cuts across the palate. The dark-skinned Shiraz grapes from the best vineyards in Hawke’s bay are exclusively used in the wine production process. Just after destemming, the grapes undergo fermentation and maceration at regulated temperatures. They are later crushed and transferred to French Oak vats for the aging process that could take up to 17 months. Finally, it is mixed and purified, ready for bottling. Before it attains 5 years of age, the Te Mata Bullnose Syrah is more delectable when decanted. Ideal for enjoying alongside beef, lamb, poultry, and game meat, including deer and venison.
