Cabernet Sauvignon
Sheridan Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 2019
Drink it now or cellar for up to 10 years. It is recommended to decant it for at least half an hour.
Situated on a hill overlooking the Yakima Valley, just outside the town of Zillah, in Washington state, Sheridan Vineyard produces some of the state's most interesting red wines. The company was founded in the late 1990s by Scott Greer and his business partners Pat and Lanie Dineen, and now the vineyards extend over 100 acres planted with Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, and Syrah. Their first harvest dates back to 2000 and, since then, they have earned an excellent reputation for their fine wines.
The Cabernet Sauvignon from Sheridan Vineyard is made from grapes sourced within Yakima Valley AVA. It is a rich and powerful red wine. In the glass, it shows a deep color with purple hues. The nose reveals intense aromas of dark fruit, especially plum, blackberry and blueberry, and floral notes of lavender and violet. On the palate, it shows a strong character and a robust body with a good balance between lively acidity, soft tannins, and a good concentration of dark fruit. The finish is long and pleasantly warm. Perfect with beef, it is the ideal wine for a barbecue but also goes well with game.
