Set in Binyamin in the Jerusalem Hills, Psagot is one of Israel’s top boutique kosher wineries thanks to the exceptional terroir and skill of the estate’s winemakers, Yaakov Berg and Joshua Hexter. Psagot’s vineyards are set on the hillsides at an altitude of 700-900 metres where the sunny summer days and cool mountain breezes help produce excellent fruit with plenty of intensity and complexity.

This Cabernet Sauvignon is made with the very finest grapes which are harvested at dawn to maximise their freshness and then fermented in stainless steel tanks to capture the pure varietal character. The young wine is then aged in French oak barrels for 13 months to add polish and extra complexity before bottling and release.

The result is a robust and characterful Cabernet which is bursting with succulent dark berries and gentle spice notes from the oak maturation. On the palate there is a generous full body, firm tannins and smooth texture with a long finish peppered with dark fruit and hints of dried herbs and leather. This is a great wine to enjoy with hearty red meat dishes or to keep in the cellar for another few years.
