Pale yellow in colour, the nose offers ripe peach and apricots along with floral notes such as jasmine and hawthorn as well as mint and pear, and even a hint of wood smoke. The palate reveals concentrated ripe tropical fruits such as pineapple, melon, apricot and peach with a nutty undertone. The medium bodied wine has good acidity and balance with a lingering finish that ends with a slight nutty note.
Fantastic match with seafood, lobster, fish, chicken, goats cheese and pasta.
Graziano Pra is a name synonymous with some of the best wines in Italy – and this is no exception! The grapes are sorted and destemmed before being gently pressed. Fermentation is carried in large oak casks and 12 months maturation in oak follows prior to bottling.
Graziano Pra spent a long time looking for the very best vineyard site. He eventually settled on a site that was high up the marl walls of the Valle di Mezzane, near Verona. It gave the perfect combination of soil, sun and cooling breezes associated with the Monti Lessinin Hills and the 500m elevation. The yields are very low but the quality is very high resulting in wines with more character, body and depth. The organic views of the winery mean that there is minimal intervention at any stage of the winemaking process. This helps to increase the quality of the wine whilst minimising the impact on the environment.
