This white wine is the most affordable Franciacorta wine among the wide variety of wines produced from the Monzio Campagnoni vineyard. Its price has been relatively consistent over the recent few years. It is made from blended Chardonnay grapes. Though not as popular as other wine varieties from the Franciacorta vineyards, this white beauty is proving to have stood the test of time. With a critic rating of 88%, the Monzio Compagnoni Franciacorta Millesimato Saten is steadily becoming more popular with increased market interest in and around Europe.

Visible when poured in a glass is a rich golden yellow tint, generally with a lot of delicate foam. It has a wide range of aromas, is engulfing, and is nearly thick without overwhelming the palate. It features notes of vanilla, biscuit, caramel, and fennel. The expansive and luscious aromas are well balanced with an acidic foundation providing a light and soothing environment for the tongue.

The grapes are hand-harvested from Franciacorta wineries. Even with its expansion, the quality of fruits produced from this vineyard remains unparalleled. The Chardonnay grapes are not particularly fragrant and are primarily considered neutral. Once in the winery, the fruit undergoes a whole bunch pressing, after which the juice is put into oak barrels where the process of fermentation kicks off. Reduction is purely a matter of personal preference for this wine. It ideally complements naturally tasty meals and wide varieties of meat and fish.
