Now operating under the Maison Albert Bichot umbrella, wines have been sold under the Jean Bouchard name for a century and a half. When they bought the winery in 1955, the Bichot family brought a wealth of expertise and investment, modernizing its facilities and expanding its vineyards significantly.

Over the years, the winery has gained a reputation for producing terroir-driven wines that express the unique character of the region. When it comes to exploring all of the intricacies of Burgundy wine, Jean Bouchard is a vital name to look out for. This offering from Gevrey-Chambertin is composed of 100% Pinot Noir and shows a strong, almost muscular character that is typical of the appellation.

Deep ruby red in the glass, this wine begins with a thick bouquet of red and black fruits, such as plum and cherry. It leans towards being medium/full-bodied, showcasing a certain juiciness and a high acidity on the palate.
