Henri de Villamont is a Burgundian estate surrounded by scores and high walls of Premier Cru vineyards. Pierre Jhean whose winemaking philosophy is to express each appellation’s typicity by combining terroir and modernity manages this magical place. The resulting wines are bottles bursting with weight, elegance, depth and texture. The vineyards are located in Savigny near Beaunes, a village transcended by the Rhoin River in the Burgundy region. Driven by quality and not quantity, Pierre Jhean’s technical expertise has gone a long way in revolutionizing this winery. The vast improvement in quality and class resulted from introducing highly efficient and advanced winemaking tools.
Bursting with a powerful bouquet of ripe berries such as raspberries and cherries. This Henri de Villamont Savigny les Beaune le village is fleshy and delicate with soft acidity, silky and generous tannins and roundness. Made with 100% pinot noir grape variety which gives it a ruby color with a round and structured red palate with good length.
After pressing, the grapes are vinified in vats for 25 days and then aged in stainless steel barrels for 11 months before being moved to vats for 6 months. Spectacular when paired with cold meats, white meats, cheeses and poultry.
