Finca Cascorrales is a stunning cherry red in the glass, wafting with aromas of cherry, blackberry jam, plum, spice and toasted cedar. It has a bright and aromatic nose, hinting at the lively flavours that follow. This is a classic taste of Ribera del Duero, made from 100% Tempranillo and sourced from the scenic landscape of Burgos, where Hacienda Solano is located.

The winery is the personal project of the Cubillo family. It started as a grower estate, selling grapes to top-tier wineries all around Northern Spain. In 2001, the three Cubillo siblings, Estrella, Nuria and Agustín, employed the expert enologist Sophie Khün to help create their very first wine.

This single-varietal Tempranillo wine was sourced from old vines in the region of Burgos. Ripe notes of blackberry, black cherry and garrigue mingle on the tongue, while hints of sweet spice, oak and vanilla lurk in the background. The fruits spent 18 months ageing in French oak barrels before bottling. Its tannins are polished and fine, and a balanced acidity elevates the entire tasting experience. Consider pairing this wine with traditional tapas dishes, a well-seasoned steak, or a cheeseboard.
