The Gómez Cruzado winery, located in Rioja, has been owned by the Mexican Baños family since the beginning of the century. Since the restructuring in 2005, the oenologist David González has been taking care of the technical management, placing a particular emphasis on the care of the vineyards, giving them the prominence they always deserve in respect and fidelity to the tradition of the fine wines of Rioja Alta.

Gomez Cruzado Honorable is a red wine made from Tempranillo, Garnacha, and Graciano grapes selected and harvested by hand in the oldest vineyards of the property. The perfect blend of these local grapes guarantees this red, with character, an excellent aging potential. The finished wine is aged for 18 months in French and 20% American oak barrels.

In the glass, it immediately reveals a beautiful bright cherry red color. Its aromatic profile is intense and endowed with good complexity with notes of black fruit and licorice typical of the terroir of origin accompanied by spicy nuances. In the mouth, it is characterized by a marked acidity, well balanced by concentrated fruit flavors and delicate spicy notes. The finish is slightly sapid, refined, and persistent. Try it with lamb or suckling pig.
