Located in Napa Valley, Precision Wine Co. was founded by winemaker Trevor Sheehan, and modeled after négociant operations in Burgundy. In fact, the company buys grapes or juice from various Californian producers and sells a wide range of wines under various brands, including Acclaimed, Gearbox, Windstorm, and Gabrielle Ashley. Under the Barrel Bomb label, the company also produces a Kentucky Bourbon aged in wine barrels and a Cabernet Sauvignon aged in bourbon barrels.

Like all Precision Wine Co.‌ wines, this Gabrielle Ashley Cabernet Sauvignon is made with grapes sourced from the best local growers, selected to fully express the character of the varietal, the diversity of the terroir, and the characteristics of the various California wine regions, and to offer excellent value for money.

This is a rich and solid wine. Its flavor profile reveals notes of cassis, black cherry, and blueberry followed by hints of wood and herbs. On the palate, it is well structured and medium to full-bodied. It is a well-balanced wine with ripe tannins and good acidity. There is a good concentration of fruit. The finish is long and persistent. It is the ideal wine for lamb chops, a tasty cheeseburger, or a rich beef meatloaf.
