Founded in 1989, Domaine François Chidaine is located in the center of the Loire Valley, in the Touraine area. Here the continental climate, tempered by ocean breezes and the clay-limestone soils, creates excellent conditions for the production of quality wines, especially white grape varieties. The estate's vineyards, divided into small parcels, have been managed organically since 1992. Since 1999, the Domaine has been managed biodynamically.

Francois Chidaine Vouvray Les Argiles is an elegant white produced with Chenin Blanc grapes selected and harvested manually from plants around 40 years old, located in the Vouvray wine region on soils composed of deep clay and chalk. The fermentation, which can last up to 6 months, takes place with indigenous yeasts in wooden barrels of approximately 600 liters, where the wine is also left to refine on its lees.

The wine shows a clear straw color with golden reflections. Its aromatic profile reveals fragrant notes of fresh white and yellow fruit, citrus notes, and some herbaceous and honey hints. On the palate, it is fresh and lively, juicy and well balanced by a good acidity. It has a good body and a long, mineral finish. It is excellent as an aperitif, with mussels and other seafood, and also with goat cheese.
