This is an outstanding Argentinian Malbec, bursting with ripe aromas of blackcurrant jam, plum and red cherry. As the wine breathes and opens up, you can also detect hints of spice, leather and earthy forest floor. The Precioso line represents Finca Ambrosia’s most premium expressions of special microclimates within the region of Gualtallary.

The winery was founded in 2002, after a group of wine-loving friends discovered the diverse appellation of Gualtallary, in the high-altitude region of Uco Valley, Argentina. At first, Finca Ambrosia exclusively grew grapes, providing the fruits for famous wine producers such as Trapiche. In 2011, the founders took the leap into creating a wine of their own, with the help of wine-maker Matias Macias.

Vibrant acidity and muscular, chalky tannins form the backbone of this dry red. It is packed with blackberry, cassis, toasted bread, cocoa and subtle spice notes. The fruits spent 18 months maturing in oak barrels, and a further 9 months ageing in the bottle. The oak is perfectly integrated, making for an overall easy-drinking experience. An excellent choice for any lover of Argentinian Malbec. It will be at its best when paired with steak, venison, or a spicy sausage.
