Envínate is a young and dynamic project started by 4 friends after finishing their enology studies, to produce local wines, highly appreciated by the public and critics for their excellent quality-price ratio. The company focuses its production in the Ribera Sacra area and also in the Canary Islands, working with native vines, which best express the terroir of origin. In the vineyard, the work is done manually and without chemical products. In the cellar, native yeasts are used and sulfur dioxide is avoided.
The wine, produced in collaboration with winemakers from Santiago del Teide, is a blend of local grapes Listan Negro, Negramol, and Moscatel Negra from about 8 hectares of vineyards located in the DO Ycoden-Daute-Isora on the island of Tenerife. The vines, planted on volcanic soils about 1000 meters above sea level, are between 70 and 100 years old. After the manual harvest, vinification takes place separately by parcel in cement tanks. The finished wine then rests for 8 months in used French oak barrels.
Benje Tinto is a fruity, fresh, and youthful red with a broad and fragrant aromatic profile. On the nose, it reveals pleasant floral and red fruit notes with a gentle mineral undertone. In the mouth, it is light, lively, and juicy with a well-balanced acidity. The finish is persistent and recalls mineral notes. It is excellent with charcuterie and grilled pork sausages.
