Located in Barizey, on the Côte Chalonnaise, the Domaine Masse is led by Fabrice Masse who took over from his father in 2000.
Respect for his father's work has always remained a priority, as he was the one who passed onto Fabrice the passion for wine and the vine and the family winemaking knowledge. The vines are cultivated traditionally. The grapes are manually selected and harvested. The whites wines are softly pressed, followed by regulated fermentation in stainless steel vats and at the end of the fermentation, they are placed in barrique. The reds are destemmed, cold macerated for 5 days then fermented for 15 days. After fermentation, the wines are aged for 1 year in oak barrels with around 30% new barrels.
This Givry shows a golden yellow color with green reflections, and a fine aromatic profile of exotic fruits and white flowers, enhanced by discreet woody notes. On the palate, this white wine is a powerful and round wine with a nice freshness and liveliness. The finish is marked by the passage in the cask. The wine generally goes well with bluefish, salmon, seafood, or cheeses with a sweet note.
