Domaine Besson is a family business, initially founded in 1902 and taken over in 1981 by Alain who now leads it together with his two children Camille, a winemaker, and Adrien, who works in the vineyards. The company today covers 21 hectares of vineyards located in the Chablis wine region where, for generations, it has produced wines of excellent quality and widely acclaimed. Domaine Besson applies a philosophy based on minimal interventions in the vineyard to guarantee the maximum expression of the iconic terroirs of this part of France.

The Chardonnay grapes are manually harvested from company vineyards located on clay-limestone soils. Fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature and the finished wine is aged for 12 months in stainless steel to preserve its mineral character and balanced freshness.

The Chablis from Domain Besson has a pale yellow color. Its aromatic profile reveals notes of white flowers and green apples and some hints of stone fruit. On the palate, it is fresh and generous, soft, and with a lively acidity. The finish is thirst-quenching, long, and recalls mineral notes. Served chilled, it makes a classy aperitif and it is excellent with fish, shellfish, and white meat.
