Domaine Antonin Guyon is an organic winery located in the Côte de Beaune that owns approximately 48 hectares of vineyards where Pinot Noir is the predominant grape variety. Their history began in the 1960s with the purchase of some plots in the wine areas of Gevrey-Chambertin to Meursault by Antonin Guyon and is now managed by his son Dominique with the help of Vincent Nicot.
The Pinot Noir grapes come from the approximately thirty-year-old vineyard of about 85 acres located in the Corton appellation on clay and limestone soils. The harvest is done manually, and after a further selection of the bunches in the cellar, fermentation takes place in wooden vats at a controlled temperature. The finished wine rests for 18 months in oak barrels (50% of which are new).
Corton Bressandes Grand Cru reveals a clear dark ruby color and a broad and fruity aromatic profile with notes of raspberry and blackcurrant, and some spicy and licorice hints. On the palate, it is round and silky with soft and ripe tannins and a good fruit concentration. The finish is long and elegant. It is excellent with roasted mushrooms, pork filet with porcini, or mushroom lasagna.
