Coming from a family with two centuries of winemaking tradition in Puligny-Montrachet, Alain Chavy founded his winery in 2003, after splitting the family vineyards with his brother Jean Louis. Today, the Domaine Alain Chavy covers approximately 10 hectares of vineyards located in the beautiful appellation of Puligny, in the heart of Burgundy. Alain is now supported by his son Corentin in the winery.

The Chardonnay grapes are selected from 8 different plots, located in the commune of Puligny. The harvest is manual and the vinification is low-intervention. The finished wine rests in 228-litre barrels for two-thirds of the wine and in larger 400-litre barrels for the remainder. On the palate, it is fresh and mineral, rich and rounded. It is a very balanced and expressive wine with a sharp acidity, and a long, refreshing finish. It is ideal with scallops or roast white fish.
