Cuvelier Los Andes Grand Malbec 2016
Drink it now or cellar for up to 15 years. It is recommended to decant it for an hour and half.
Owners of the Chateau Leoville Poyferre and Chateau Le Crock in Bordeaux, the Cuvelier family began their adventure in Argentina in the late 1990s by planting a vineyard at the foot of the Andes mountain range. The Cuvelier Los Andes winery was then built in 2004. The company produces excellent wines from Bordeaux blends according to the same techniques used in their French Chateaux.
The Grand Malbec is a red wine produced with 100% Malbec grapes selected manually from the best vines of the estate, located at over 1000 meters above sea level. The wine is fermented and then aged for 18 months in new French oak barrels.
Characterized by exceptional concentration and excellent aging potential, this elegant Argentine Malbec reveals a beautiful deep purple color and an exceptional aromatic profile. On the nose, the aromas of ripe black cherries and raspberries intertwine with mineral and coffee notes. On the palate, the wine is succulent, deep, and medium-bodied with a balanced acidity and a long finish. Its good structure and round character make it the perfect partner for roasted lamb.
