Both Abeille and Fabre families have done a tremendous job in maintaining this winery’s consistency over the years. Their adherence to quality is almost palpable, and the continuous expansion of the winery is a clear testimony to their success. With an occupancy of about 165 hectares of land, Chateau Mont-Redon is the most predominant wine producer in the Chateauneuf du Pape region located in Southern Rhone Valley in France. Considering the winery started from about 2 hectares, this is quite an achievement.
The bold Chateauneuf du Pape features a vibrant purple hue, as well as traditional Southern Rhône aromas of juicy, deep red fruits, velvety sensation, powdered cinnamon, and a hint of salinity. The red wine is wonderfully balanced on the tongue, with an excellent palatial and pleasant texture.
The main grapes used to make this wine include Grenache, Syrah, and the Mourvedre types. When biological maturity or the equilibrium of sugars and acidity has been attained, the grapes are picked. Harvesting is carried out by hand. Grapes are hand-sorted on the winery and moved to the cellars promptly. Treating the raw material with utmost regard is the main priority as it makes its way to the fermentor. The best quality grapes are picked as a result of this painstaking labor. Ideal when paired with meaty dishes, including beef, lamb, grilled chicken, barbecue, and pork.
Great as always!
