The Bamford family are well-known in the UK for their Daylesford Organic brand which specialises in quality organic produce direct from the family’s farm. In 1997 the Bamfords fell in love with Chateau Leoube while visiting Provence on a house-hunting trip. The family quickly decided the estate would be an ideal place to create an organic winery, and they set about converting the 65 hectares of vines and olive groves to organic agriculture with the help of their neighbour’s son, Romain Ott, who is now their winemaker.

Today Chateau Leoube’s rosé wines are sold in 30 different countries around the globe and they enjoy a well-deserved reputation for top quality organic wines which offer fantastic value for money. Conditions on the estate are ideal for premium winemaking thanks to the sunny summer days and the cooling breezes from the nearby Mediterranean Sea.

Secret de Leoube is a special cuvee made from the property’s oldest vines. Unlike Chateau Leoube’s other rosé wines, this particular wine has an extra dose of Cabernet Sauvignon alongside the more traditional Provencal varieties of Grenache and Cinsault. This adds backbone and character to the cuvee, giving a well-rounded texture and dark berry notes alongside the characteristic strawberry, red cherry and raspberry from the Grenache.
