This vibrant Gavi is bursting with fresh lemon, almond blossom, and pear notes with a racy acidity which makes it a great choice to serve as a refreshing aperitif. On the palate the body is light and delicate with a smooth texture and pure, clean finish seasoned with hints of dried herbs. A fantastic partner for seafood or accompaniment for creamy cheeses, sushi, or delicate pan-fried fish like sea bream.

The producer is Broglia which is well known for its deliciously fresh and crisp wines made in the classic Gavi style. Vines have been planted on the property at least as far back as 972 AD, although the current chapter in the estate’s history can be dated to 1972 when it was purchased by Bruno Broglia. Over time Broglia became a family business with Bruno’s sons, Paolo and Piero, following in their father’s footsteps.

The family’s vineyards are located in the finest area for producing Gavi, meaning they are permitted to use the coveted “Gavi di Gavi” label. This bottling was first produced in 1989 to celebrate the birth of Piero’s son, Filippo, and has become one of the family’s favourites. The wine is fermented and aged in stainless steel tanks as is traditional for Gavi, helping to preserve the typicity of the grape and the character of the terroir.
