The Bride Valley Estate produces sparkling wines in County Dorset in South West England. The company, founded by Steven Spurrier and his wife Arabella, covers a total of 10 hectares of vineyards planted on a calcareous/chalky soil with a composition identical to that of Champagne and, more specifically, of the Montagne de Reims area. Spurrier's experience and enormous wine knowledge led him to immediately identify the amazing potential of this terroir. With the help and supervision of sparkling wine expert Georges Legrand, the planting of the vines began in the first decade of the 2000s. Their first harvest was in 2011.
Bride Valley Rosé Bella is a fresh sparkling wine made from a blend of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Pinot Meunier. The grapes are selected from the estate's vineyards, located on the slopes of an amphitheater basin where the plants enjoy excellent exposure which guarantees perfect ripening.
The color is salmon pink with bright tones and a fine and persistent perlage. On the nose, the wine reveals a fruity character with fresh aromas of red fruits such as raspberry, cranberry, and red currant. On the palate, it is fresh, lively, and intense, with a velvety foam and a long and elegant finish. It is excellent as an aperitif and goes well with many Mediterranean-style vegetarian dishes.
