    Bortolin Angelo winery is renowned within the Valdobbiadene DOCG for its excellent sparkling wine. The winery was founded in 1968 by Angelo Bortolin, the son of a farmer, and since 1983, the winery has specialised in making sparkling wine. Angelo has taken a back seat in recent years, but business is booming under the leadership of his three children, Desiderio, Cristina, and Paola.

    Valdobbiadene is considered to be the best region for Prosecco in all of Treviso and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Its terroir is defined by the sheer edges of the Alps - vineyards are planted on steep slopes, and Bortolin Angelo winery harvest theirs by hand. The Glera grapes for this wine were sourced exclusively from the village of Guia.

    Named for the winery’s founder, this is an incredibly clear wine, appearing almost silver in the glass. Aromas of ripe melon appear on the nose, with hints of yellow flowers. This wine aims for a pure expression of the Guia terroir, the place the Bortolin family call home. It has prominent mineral notes, with delicate yellow fruit and dancing bubbles that dissolve into a bone-dry finish. Enjoy it alone, or pair it with appetisers and rich seafood dishes. Best served chilled, in a very large glass for aeration.
