Bodegas Valderiz is a multi-generational family winery, located in the renowned appellation of Ribera Del Duero. It was founded over a quarter of a century ago by Tomás Esteban, who is now supported by his two sons, Ricardo and Juan.

The Valderiz vineyards span over 60 hectares and 35 diverse, premium plots. The entire Ribera Del Duero region and its wonderful wines are defined by its extreme climate, which the Esteban family have mastered. In addition to their inimitable style, the folks at Bodegas Valderiz are at the centre of the Spanish organic movement, eschewing the use of herbicides, fertilisers and pesticides, and using natural yeasts that come from the grape itself.

This flagship wine is crafted from 100% Tempranillo (or Tinta del Pais, as it is known in the Ribera del Duero). Like many of the classic wines from this region, Valderiz is a deep, inky red colour. It bursts with dark, richly scented fruits, hints of spice, flora, dried herbs, and notes of vanilla gained from 20 months of ageing in French oak barrels. It’s an intense, encapsulating drinking experience, showcasing firm tannins, good acidity and mouth-watering plummy fruits. Hints of smoke make it an excellent pairing for meats grilled over an open fire, barbecued beef or pork.
