Binekhi is a Georgian winery, based in Tbilisi, and founded about 30 years ago. The company, which owns approximately 90 hectares of vineyards, distributed in the major wine regions of the country, produces high-quality red and amber wines from native and international vines, combining traditional Georgian vinification methods with a modern approach and the most efficient European wine technologies.

This wine is made with Saperavi grapes, a native vine of Georgia now widespread throughout the Caucasus and in smaller quantities in the USA and Australia. The grapes come from vineyards located in the Kakheti wine region, where this variety has found its favorite habitat. Fermentation takes place in large oak barrels and the finished wine then rests for 7-8 months in the barrel.

Binekhi Saperavi is a wine with a dense and deep red color with reflections tending towards dark purple. On the nose, it reveals an intensely fruity aromatic profile with notes of dark fruit and some spicy hints. On the palate, it is rich and full-bodied, and shows good acidity. The wine has a firm tannic backbone and a long finish that recalls slightly spicy notes. Try it with grilled steak or lamb chops.
