Located in a hilly landscape on the west side of Paso Robles, California, Dusy Vineyards was planted by the Dusi family in 1945. Here the vines, dry-grown on rocky and alluvial soils, benefit from the warm California sun and wide variations of daytime temperatures. This allows the grapes to reach a perfect level of ripeness while maintaining a vibrant acidity. The result is very balanced and lively wines characterized by an intense aromatic profile and spicy hints.

The Zinfandel grapes come from the Double Dutch vineyard in Paso Robles planted with approximately 50-year-old vines. The wine is then aged in wooden barrels for 14 months. The name BACA refers to the Latin word meaning "berry" and is a tribute to the grape.

Zinfandel Baca Dusi Double Dutch is a rich, powerful, and expressive wine. The nose reveals lively aromas of sour and black cherries, currants, and raspberries, followed by notes of aromatic herbs and black pepper. On the palate, it is soft and round with silky tannins and excellent fruit concentration. The finish is long, juicy and well balanced by a lively acidic vein. Perfect with a tasty barbecue or roast lamb.
