Ideal to drink now through 2026. Decant for no more than 1 hour.
Reserver is a title used for specially-aged wine. This blend is a delicious medley of Tinto Fino (95%), Merlot (3%) and Albillo (2%); it weighs in at a healthy 14.5% alcohol and boasts a nose so aromatically intense, you’ll forget that you haven’t even taken the first sip!
Upon viewing in the glass, you will notice the smattering of violet dancing elegantly in the bright ruby red Tempranillo blend. Aromas of red fruit compote and forest floor dominate the bouquet with tertiary hints of smoked wood and balsam. On the palate, this Tinto Fino Reserva is complex yet elegant, structured, enveloping and superbly unctuous. Through the sweet tannins, a wild burst of red fruit compote and black berries lead the way to a silky, smooth finish nuanced with ripe strawberries, toasted spices and smoked cedar in the prolonged aftertaste.
The fruit used to produce this wine was grown at the Arzuaga family’s estate La Maquinilla (20%) at Finca La Plata and at estate vineyards in the province of Burgos (80%), where the vines are over 80 years old, to combine the structure and complexity or the Old vines with the liveliness and brightness of the New vines. Grapes from 20 different plots were used to craft this wine and it was aged in new French oak barrels for 26 months
