Spread over approximately 85 hectares of vineyards in the Mendoza wine region of Argentina, the Alpasion winery was born from the dream of some friends with a shared passion for wine. Today the company produces wines widely appreciated for their excellent value for money, made under organic conditions (not yet certified) from international varieties. The estate also includes a lodge and a nice restaurant, and it’s a popular wine tourism destination.

The Private Selection is the most representative wine of the Alpasion winery. It is a blend of Malbec, Syrah, Petit Verdot & Cabernet Franc grapes, selected and harvested by hand in the estate's young vineyards, located in Chacayes at an altitude of approximately 1,200 meters above sea level. After vinification, the finished wine is aged in French Bordeaux barriques for at least 18 months.

The wine reveals a deep red color and an intense aromatic profile with sweet notes of ripe dark fruit (especially plums and blackberries) and some spicy, caramel and chocolate hints. On the palate, it is full-bodied and powerful, smooth and well-balanced with velvety tannins and a long finish that recalls toasted and chocolate notes. Ideal with stews or roast meats and with Filet Mignon in mushroom sauce.
