Founded in 2020 in the Shida Kartli region of Georgia, Agidela Winery produces excellent quality wines from indigenous grape varieties such as Goruli Mtsvane, Tavkveri, Chinuri, and some international grape varieties. The grapes are purchased mainly from growers in the area, carefully following the various cultivation phases. But the company, led by Lasha Chkuaseli and Eli Tsiskarishvili, also recently purchased a nearby vineyard from which it plans to produce its own wine as early as 2025.
Agidela Goruli Mtsvane is considered the company's most representative wine. It is produced with grapes of the native Goruli Mtsvane vine sourced from vineyards in the Shida Kartli region, with small additions of Chinuri.
The wine has a straw yellow color with greenish nuances. Its scent is fresh and lively with intense aromas of tropical fruit, apricot, and ripe citrus fruits. On the palate, it is juicy and fresh with a marked mineral vein and a medium and well-balanced acidity. The finish is long and pleasant with a delicate brioche aftertaste. Served well chilled at 8-10°C, it makes an excellent aperitif, but it also pairs deliciously with seafood, white fish, and light Asian dishes.
