History

The gorgeous Podere Sapaio estate is set in Tuscany’s coastal Bolgheri region and was founded in 1999 after Massimo Piccin managed to convince his father to invest in land locally and set up a family winery here. Despite the young age of the winery, the Piccins have developed a cult following for their wines thanks to the exceptional terroir and the help of consultant enologist Carlo Ferrini.
