Alma Negra
History
Alma Negra or “Black Soul” is named after the dark, handsome character of the Bonarda grape which was used to make the label’s very first wines. The winery is the brainchild of fourth generation winemaker Ernesto Catena, son of the world-famous Argentinian enologist Nicolás Catena Zapata who helped put the country on the map for top quality Malbec wines.

Interesting Facts
Ernesto has sought to put his own unique stamp on the Argentinian wine scene with his strong creative drive and determination to create wines that are unpretentious and delicious to drink. In the vineyard and winery he insists on working in harmony with nature wherever possible including the use of biodynamic practices and avoidance of chemical treatments. .
