The Moss Wood estate was one of the early pioneers in the Margaret River region thanks to the vision of Clare and Keith Mugford who founded the winery some four decades ago. Their estate philosophy is centred around crafting elegant wines inspired by the local terroir which can age beautifully in the cellar or be enjoyed now alongside a fine meal or family dinner.

Moss Wood is based in Wilyabrup where the cool maritime climate and gravel and loam soils help lock in lots of freshness and aromatics in the grapes. In the case of this Semillon, the terroir helps to produce a perfectly-balanced wine with mouthwatering acidity and ripe fruit flavours. Once in the winery the fruit is carefully pressed and then vinified in stainless steel tanks to let the varietal character shine through.

On the nose there are ample notes of ripe peaches, apricots, zingy lemon and white blossom, while the first sip reveals a firm structure, full body, and a long finish with plenty of complexity. Great matches for this white include roast cod served with Mediterranean vegetables, creamy full-flavoured cheeses, or chicken dishes served with a rich sauce.
