Founded in 1859, the famous Burgundy estate Louis Jadot owns 150 hectares of vineyards in the Côte d'Or and produces a wide range of high-quality white and red wines from various appellations in the region.

The Pinot Noir grapes for this extraordinary wine, one of the estate's most iconic, are sourced from the Clos des Ursules parcel, owned by the Jadot family since 1826. After harvest and fermentation in open vats, the finished wine rests in oak barrels for 15-18 months.

Beaune Clos des Ursules Premier Cru Monopole by Louis Jadot is a rich and elegant wine capable of aging beautifully for over a decade. In the glass, the wine reveals a brilliant, dark cherry-red color. The nose opens with a bouquet of red fruits, especially currant, raspberry, cherry, and ripe strawberry, followed by notes of hazelnut, undergrowth, and chocolate. On the palate, it is full-bodied and balanced, powerful and intense. It is smooth and juicy with a taut, well-integrated acidity and fine tannins. The finish is long and recalls delicate spicy notes. It pairs excellently with rosemary-roasted lamb, herb-roasted guinea fowl, and pheasant Cacciatore.
