La Pierrelee is a brilliant gold in the glass, with shining silver hues. It has a mineral-rich bouquet, developing detailed notes of lime leaf, jasmine, and flint as it aerates. It is made of 100% Chardonnay, harvested from several communes and locations within Chablis, making it a multi-faceted expression of this special region.
La Chablisienne was founded by Abbé Balitrand in 1923. It began as a cooperative between grape growers but has slowly evolved into something different. Since the 1950s, grape growers have delivered unfermented grape juice to the winery, so that the winemakers have complete creative control over the wine. La Chablisienne has been an essential part of Chablis over the last century, helping to shape the region’s distinctive style.
La Pierrelee offers a refreshing, round palate, with clean minerality and a hint of sweetness. Look for notes of ripe pear, lime zest and hints of cream, gained from 12 months of ageing with yeast in tanks and barrels. Good acidity brings a pleasant tension to the palate, which leads to a long, satisfying finish. A perfect introduction to Chablis. Consider pairing La Pierrelee with goat's cheese, creamy sauces, or drinking it as an aperitif.

overall i had a positive experience, they have a wide range of wines, some which are hard to find anywhere else - the main reason i still buy from them, plus the discounts are fair and often, but... their codes for the first offer only works at the first offer, which if fine, but then why would you send me the voucher in each package i order, why spam me on the email and every time i log in on the website? this is really bothering me... then their rewards points system is useless, first of all because you only get peanuts even after spending €250 on an order, but even those peanuts will expire if you won't order again soon, which is unfair, to say the least... and lastly, if you get a corked wine, a wine with any deffect or a wine that leaked (my last order contained a bottle of $100 Caymus Cabernet with a leaking cork, which made the wine tasted cooked and flat), they have no procedure put in place for you to replace or return the wine or to get a refund or replacement - none, which is a big no no no for any wine collector... so all in all i give it 3 stars for now
