Founded by Golam, Gilad and Kami Flam in 1998, the Flam estate has quickly gained recognition as one of Israel’s most exciting boutique wineries. Set in the idyllic Judean Hills close to Jerusalem, the estate makes stunning kosher wines that are inspired both by Israel’s ancient winemaking heritage and modern European techniques and technology.
The Flam family have been making their Classico red blend for 19 years since the early years of the estate. It’s a complex, multi-layered blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Syrah, and Petit Verdot grapes grown in the Mata vineyard in the Judean Hills. This site lies some 650 metres above sea level which means that the hot and sunny days are balanced by cooling breezes from the mountains and colder nights. These climatic conditions help to preserve freshness in the grapes while ensuring they reach optimal ripeness.
In the winery the Classico spends 10 months in French oak barrels followed by a further 6 months of ageing in the bottle. On the nose there are attractive dark berry notes along with hints of chocolate, roasted coffee beans, and sweet spice. Take a sip and you’ll discover a generous full body, firm tannins, and impressively long finish.

overall i had a positive experience, they have a wide range of wines, some which are hard to find anywhere else - the main reason i still buy from them, plus the discounts are fair and often, but... their codes for the first offer only works at the first offer, which if fine, but then why would you send me the voucher in each package i order, why spam me on the email and every time i log in on the website? this is really bothering me... then their rewards points system is useless, first of all because you only get peanuts even after spending €250 on an order, but even those peanuts will expire if you won't order again soon, which is unfair, to say the least... and lastly, if you get a corked wine, a wine with any deffect or a wine that leaked (my last order contained a bottle of $100 Caymus Cabernet with a leaking cork, which made the wine tasted cooked and flat), they have no procedure put in place for you to replace or return the wine or to get a refund or replacement - none, which is a big no no no for any wine collector... so all in all i give it 3 stars for now
