    Poor handling when things don't go as planned. Unforuntately I've ordered my wines more than 2 weeks ago and I still don't have any parcel. Customer service was poor this time around, they didn't try to fix the issue just hidden behind fine print terms of service, instead of trying to re-ship or get in touch with the courier. Now I have no idea where my wines where, what temperature they were stored in, and they didn't make it in time for the party I wanted to host and guess what, I had to go and get extra wines. They have a nice website, but don't know how to treat their customers when things go array. Pray you won't have an issue

    Located in the Wachau wine region, the Austrian winery F.X. Pilcher was founded in 1898 and is still run by the same family today. The estate covers around 20 hectares of vineyards where the indigenous Grüner Veltliner and Riesling are the main grape varieties.

    The Riesling grapes come from one of the most renowned sites in Wachau, the Loibenberg vineyard. Here the vines are distributed on south-facing, steep terraces, where the soil, composed mainly of Gföhler gneiss, stones, and sand, retains heat during the day and releases it gradually in the evening, thus promoting early budding and slow, full ripening.

    Riesling Ried Loibenberg is a full-bodied, deep, and elegant wine. On the nose, it reveals an intense aromatic profile characterized by notes of tropical fruit, peach, and apricot, mineral and stone hints. On the palate, it is rich, powerful, tense, and concentrated. It is characterful and vibrant with a strong refreshing acidity and a long finish that reveals a clear mineral backbone. It is a classy wine that can be kept in the cellar for decades but can also be enjoyed now, paired with lightly spiced Asian dishes, seafood, oysters, and pork.
