With 200 years of history, Erdevik Winery is probably the oldest in Serbia. The company is located in the Syrmia wine region, on the slopes of Fruska Gora, where the cultivation of vines was started by the Romans in 276 AD. Today, this world-renowned and awarded company produces excellent wines from international grape varieties grown in the estate vineyards near the Danube.
Marlon Delon is a powerful and characterful red wine made with most Cabernet Sauvignon grapes and some Merlot. Fermentation takes place in large wooden barrels, and the finished wine then rests for over 20 months in French oak barrels.
The wine reveals a dense and deep dark ruby color and an expressive aromatic profile with notes of blackcurrant, cassis and blackberry, spices, and cedar. On the palate, it is full and voluminous with firm and silky tannins. It is concentrated and juicy, complex and balanced. The finish is long and persistent with a clear mineral vein. It is ready to drink now with a beef brisket or a game stew but also shows good aging potential and can certainly evolve in the cellar for over a decade.
