Duckhorn is a prestigious Napa Valley winery founded in 1976 by the Duckhorns and has been named several times one of the "Top 100 Wineries" in the world by Wine & Spirits magazine. The estate includes 7 different vineyards spread across Napa's microclimates, producing an excellent range of Bordeaux-style wines.
Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon is made from grapes from the prestigious Rutherford sub-appellation in Napa Valley with a small addition of Merlot. The dry winters and mild, temperate climate here allow the grapes to ripen slowly, resulting in aromatic wines with a soft, fleshy character. After vinification, the finished wine is aged in French oak barrels (half of which are new) for 16 months. The result is a wine that fully expresses the Rutherford terroir and the Cabernet style that has made this region famous throughout the world.
In the glass, the wine reveals an intense and broad aromatic profile with notes of blackberry, blueberry, forest berries, violet, and sage, followed by mineral and graphite notes. On the palate, it is powerful and full-bodied, rich and concentrated. It has firm and well-integrated tannins, a good mineral vein, and a long finish that recalls notes of pepper. Try it with roast pork chops, beef Wellington or Rib-Eye steak.

overall i had a positive experience, they have a wide range of wines, some which are hard to find anywhere else - the main reason i still buy from them, plus the discounts are fair and often, but... their codes for the first offer only works at the first offer, which if fine, but then why would you send me the voucher in each package i order, why spam me on the email and every time i log in on the website? this is really bothering me... then their rewards points system is useless, first of all because you only get peanuts even after spending €250 on an order, but even those peanuts will expire if you won't order again soon, which is unfair, to say the least... and lastly, if you get a corked wine, a wine with any deffect or a wine that leaked (my last order contained a bottle of $100 Caymus Cabernet with a leaking cork, which made the wine tasted cooked and flat), they have no procedure put in place for you to replace or return the wine or to get a refund or replacement - none, which is a big no no no for any wine collector... so all in all i give it 3 stars for now
