Located in Barbaresco, Piedmont, Cascina Luisin is a family-run winery founded by Luigi Minuto in 1913 and currently managed by his great-grandson, Roberto, who takes care of the 8 hectares of vineyards with great passion and attention, producing elegant wines that embody the soul of the Langhe.
The Arneis grapes come from a vineyard of less than one hectare, around 300 meters above sea level in Vezza d'Alba. The 25-year-old vines have southeast exposure and grow in light, sandy, marine soils rich in fossils and minerals. After harvest and controlled temperature fermentation, the wine ages for 3 months on the lees, followed by 3 months in the bottle.
The result is an elegant and rich wine that combines the refined and precise style of the Cascina Luisin with the aromatic richness typical of this indigenous Piedmontese grape. On the nose, it reveals a broad and seductive bouquet with delicious notes of pear and apricot interspersed with herbaceous, aniseed, and dried fruit nuances. On the palate, it is lively, fresh, and taut, with a clean and dynamic character. It is round and smooth with pleasant mineral touches and a long finish reminiscent of apricot. It is a food-friendly and versatile wine, pairing well with fish, white meat, and vegetable-based pasta dishes.

overall i had a positive experience, they have a wide range of wines, some which are hard to find anywhere else - the main reason i still buy from them, plus the discounts are fair and often, but... their codes for the first offer only works at the first offer, which if fine, but then why would you send me the voucher in each package i order, why spam me on the email and every time i log in on the website? this is really bothering me... then their rewards points system is useless, first of all because you only get peanuts even after spending €250 on an order, but even those peanuts will expire if you won't order again soon, which is unfair, to say the least... and lastly, if you get a corked wine, a wine with any deffect or a wine that leaked (my last order contained a bottle of $100 Caymus Cabernet with a leaking cork, which made the wine tasted cooked and flat), they have no procedure put in place for you to replace or return the wine or to get a refund or replacement - none, which is a big no no no for any wine collector... so all in all i give it 3 stars for now
