Located in Moldova, the Casa Vinicola Luca has been producing the Carpe Diem wine line since 2014 under the leadership of Ion Luca. His family has a long winemaking tradition spanning four generations, interrupted at the end of the 1940s due to expropriation by the Soviet regime. Today, the company owns approximately 10.5 hectares of vineyards and produces excellent Moldovan wines that best express the uniqueness of this country.

The Cabernet Sauvignon grapes are meticulously selected and hand-picked. After pressing, fermentation takes place slowly at a controlled temperature to ensure the full development of the aromatics, and the finished wine ages in oak for a year. Aging in wood promotes richness and body, but also the emergence of complementary tertiary aromas.

Produced in a limited edition, Carpe Diem Cabernet Sauvignon is a dry red characterized by a dark ruby color with purple highlights. On the nose, it reveals an intense aroma with notes of cherry, blackcurrant, and prune, followed by hints of violet and sweet spices. On the palate, it is full-bodied, rounded, and concentrated. It has good complexity and smooth tannins. The finish is long and recalls light smoky notes. Try it with grilled lamb chops or peppered beef fillet.
