Founded in 1994 by Gary and Robyn Farr, the renowned Australian winery By Farr is located in the Geelong wine region of New South Wales and is now run by Gary and Robyn's son, Nick. The winery, which enjoys a spectacular landscape with breathtaking views, produces handcrafted wines using sustainable and traditional techniques.
The Pinot Noir grapes are selected from the Farrside vineyard, located on a slope that enjoys a northeast exposure and a cool and breezy climate that favors slow and homogeneous ripening. The vines, planted in 2001, are rooted in a land of volcanic origin, with a calcareous substrate. After manual harvesting, fermentation occurs spontaneously with indigenous yeasts. The finished wine then rests for 18 months in French oak barrels (50% new).
By Farr Farrside Pinot Noir has a clear and brilliant color with garnet red tones and a broad and fragrant aromatic profile. On the nose, it reveals notes of red currant, cherries and forest berries, sweet spices, and a light earthy hint. On the palate, it is fresh and balanced, mineral and elegant. It is fleshy, lively, and fruity with a balanced acidity and velvety tannins. The finish is long and structured. Try it with duck breast or roast turkey.

overall i had a positive experience, they have a wide range of wines, some which are hard to find anywhere else - the main reason i still buy from them, plus the discounts are fair and often, but... their codes for the first offer only works at the first offer, which if fine, but then why would you send me the voucher in each package i order, why spam me on the email and every time i log in on the website? this is really bothering me... then their rewards points system is useless, first of all because you only get peanuts even after spending €250 on an order, but even those peanuts will expire if you won't order again soon, which is unfair, to say the least... and lastly, if you get a corked wine, a wine with any deffect or a wine that leaked (my last order contained a bottle of $100 Caymus Cabernet with a leaking cork, which made the wine tasted cooked and flat), they have no procedure put in place for you to replace or return the wine or to get a refund or replacement - none, which is a big no no no for any wine collector... so all in all i give it 3 stars for now
