This delicious Californian Cab opens with enticing notes of cassis, black cherry and candied plum. The first sip reveals a full body, smooth tannins and intense dark chocolate, tobacco and coffee bean notes. Following vinification the young wine is aged in French oak barrels for 12 months which adds complexity and hints of sweet spice and toast.

The Bogles have been Clarksburg farmers as far back as the 1870s when Civil War infantryman Captain AJ Boyle and his nephew, Samuel, left their native Tennessee for California. The fourth generation of the Bogle family began to grow grapes which were sold on to local wineries until in 1978 when the Bogles started making their own wine. Since then the family have dedicated themselves to expanding and refining their winery, building up a cult following of wine lovers who adore their wines.

Bogle winery is now in the hands of siblings Warren, Jody and Ryan who represent the sixth generation of the family to farm this land. The trio are keen to pass on the estate in top condition to the next generation of Bogles which is why they are committed to meeting the exacting California Rules for Sustainability requirements and achieving Certified Green status for their grapes.
