Made from 100% Assyrtiko, this dry white wine emits a pale lemon scent, offering a powerful and chalky nose rich with iodine, the scent of the sea. Aromas of ripe stone fruit and herbal notes mingle in the background. The single vineyard of origin can be found in the village of Megalochori on Santorini, a location with very old rootstocks, dating back about 150 years.

Artemis Karamolegos Winery has been part of Santorini’s winemaking tradition since 1952. On a small, volcanic island packed with wineries, this one stands out as one of the greatest. The modern era began in 2004 when grandson Artemis Karamolegos revitalised the estate with significant investments into modern production facilities and vineyards.

On the palate, this Assyrtiko presents a generously structured mouthfeel - layered, complex and stunningly dry. Flavours of dried herbs, tannic tea, and ripe stone fruit intertwine with a distinctly sea-driven character. With this wine, it is possible to capture the feeling of Santorini without visiting the island. The wine's sharp acidity is balanced out by a long, clean, and mineral-rich aftertaste. It is the perfect partner for seafood, salty Greek cheese, or chicken soaked in a white sauce.
