Whitehaven wines
History
The Whitehaven Winery was established in 1994 in the Marlborough area of New Zealand by the White family. This came about by the realisation of a vision to create a recognisable, respected and successful winery based on the ethos of producing the highest quality wines available.
Today, the company is run by Sue White and her team who produce top quality single varietal wines that offer sophisticated elegance that are now recognised across the word.
The philosophy of the company is 'quality without compromise' and this is a principle that follows the whole process, from minimal intervention during the grape growing, through to the actual winemaking processes, and on into maturation and bottling.
Whitehaven are very proud of their wines and the quality associated with the name. They are seen as ambassadors for Marlborough and are happy to continuously provide high quality wines consistently and with integrity.
As part of one of the world's most recognised and iconic growing areas, Marlborough was the ideal place for Whitehaven to choose. Cool climates balanced with long sunshine hours, gives the grapes longer to reach optimal ripeness and, in doing so, develop concentrated flavours that can be developed into fantastic wines. They are meticulous about choosing the right grapes of the right quality, all the while ensuring that only Marlborough grapes are used in their wines.
