The same family has tended to the estate for the past 200 years, and over the course of these years, Tasca D'Almerita has evolved into being much more than just one winery. Tasca D'Almerita now spans across an impressive 600 hectares in the heart of Sicily and consists of two resorts and five different estates. There are 200 seasonal workers on top of another 70 workers from Sicily. To say that the influence of Sicilian land and culture is evident when it comes to the wines is an understatement. Each one has perfectly encapsulated the mediterranean elements with their collection of wines. A heightened focus on sustainability and listening to the natural rhythms of the land has long been the founding values for Tasca D'Almerita, their innovative agricultural style offering a distinctive quality to their wines.

Innovative cultivation and technology initiatives have long been an important principle for Tasca D'Almerita and they have long been renowned for their agricultural business model. Take, for instance, the Malvasia Capofaro. The grapes are carefully covered in leaves so as that they do not burn, as a means of preserving the aroma. Upon being harvested, the grapes are then brought to to a large warehouse to protect them from the sun. The warehouse as no moisture and utilizes recycled air during this dehydrating process. This results in the preservation of deep concentration of sugars to ensure the correct level of acidity. This level of intention is found at every level of Tasca D'Almerita's grape harvest and wine production, giving their collection a distinct level of quality and taste, all the while captializing on their ability to produce high volumes of wine.
