I like the selection of nice wines a lot. What could be better is taking good care of the wines during transport. It is very cold in Holland and the wines i received yesterday where freezing cold. I hope that they are not damaged by the cold.

I placed an order of 17 bottles of wine from 8Wines (Czech Republic) on December 22nd and would like to share my experience. The 8Wines website is excellent — well designed, easy to navigate, and offering a very impressive wine selection. The ordering and checkout process was smooth and secure, and the overall shopping experience was truly pleasant. The 8Wines team was highly efficient, preparing and handing the order over to the courier in less than 12 hours, which reflects great professionalism. Unfortunately, the delivery process did not meet the same high standards. While the parcel was collected by UPS on December 22nd and arrived in Athens by December 24th, there were limited tracking updates afterward and no clear delivery information. Communication with the local courier proved difficult, and despite several attempts, it was not possible to receive timely support or clarification. The delivery was eventually completed on January 7th, without prior notification. This delay was disappointing, especially considering the excellent service provided by 8Wines up to that point. Overall, 8Wines delivered a great customer experience, but the choice of courier for deliveries to Greece had a noticeable impact on the final outcome. It may be worth considering alternative shipping partners (such as DHL) in order to ensure a consistently high-quality experience for Greek customers.

History

The Caiquén is a wild goose from Patagonia that flies across The Andes between Argentina and Chile. By embarking on this cross-border flight the Caiquén takes up a major challenge. Just like the Caiquén, Aurelio Montes, founder of the Chilean winery Bodega Montes, made several trips across the Andes until, in 2000 he rediscovered Mendoza as a generous land filled with superb vines and hardworking people. In 2001 he realized Mendoza was the perfect place to make Kaikén Wines, wines that embody everything a great wine ought to be.
