History
The Hahn Family vineyards and winery are located in Monterey County, in the Central Coast of California, USA. It is here that 461 acres of land is cultivated in the Arroyo Seco region while another 650 acres are dedicated to the Santa Lucia Highlands. The word “Hahn” is German for the word rooster, which is why each label of the Hahn wine collection carries this symbol, but Hahn Family Wines are responsible for representing other brands of wine: Hahn, Hahn SLH, Lucienne, Smith & Hook, and Boneshaker.

Interesting Facts
A combination of the strong, cool winds from Monterey Bay that rush through the tunnel created in the valley and the fact that the vineyards sit on metamorphic rock lead to offering strong Pinot Noirs, many of which have received awards over the years. One of the Hahn Family Wines’ brands, The Boneshaker, is a Zinfandel made up of the grapes that come from the 40 year old vines of the Bruella vineyard, sustainably cultivated by the Meler Family in the Lodi AVA of California. The Boneshaker Zinfandel 2014 is composed of Cabernet Sauvignon (2%), Merlot (11%), and Zinfadel (87%) grapes, to create a full bodied wine.
